A series of public lectures are part of the international workshop week at the department for design methodology and representation Chair Prof. Mark Mückenheim, Technical University Munich, school of architecture. The workshop is run by Tobias Klein, Dietmar Koering, Denis Vlieghe, and Peter Dell’Uva and will take place from December 13th to 17th. Students from the TU Munich and the AA will work on analyzing and transforming a series of existing churches into digital as well as physical models that explore the boundaries of representation. The course aims to stimulate a debate around ornaments, ecclesial patterns, sublime tectonics within the complexity of classic church architecture and their translation and manufacturing into contemporary exuberance.

The second lecture in this series will be held by Dietmar Koering Dipl.Ing. M.Arch. Jaap Bakema fellow Netherlands Architecture Institute on Tuesday, the 14th of December 2010 at the Vorhoelzer Forum Technical University Munich / Arcisstr. 21 / 80333 München.
The third lecture in the series will be held by Denis Vlieghe M.Arch. from the Architectural Association AADRL, research fellow at the University of Tokyo on Thursday, the 16th of December 2010 at the Vorhoelzer Forum Technical University Munich / Arcisstr. 21 / 80333 München.
The fourth and last lecture in the series will be held by Peter Dell‘Uva from the Ecole Spéciale d’Architecture and PhD candidate at the Bartlett school of architecture on Friday, the 17th of December 2010 at the Vorhoelzer Forum Technical University Munich / Arcisstr. 21 / 80333 München.
